Start with the documented color character
Jasper is an exceptionally deep green. Temperature is a useful description, but neighboring materials can change the impression. Jasper's exceptionally low LRV makes black-like depth central to its use, even though the color is green.
Why the white stone and aged brass relationship matters
White stone supplies a broad light plane, while brass emphasizes details; the green need not be obvious in every shadow to be intentional.
Jasper has an LRV of 4; Sherwin-Williams Ripe Olive SW-6209 is 6. The difference is 2 points, with Ripe Olive returning more light under the reference measurement. Ripe Olive is a very deep green with blue-gray undertones. This supplies a named color control; the LRV gap alone does not identify the warmer, greener or pinker paint.
Use Ripe Olive as a control
Temperature is easier to assess when Jasper has enough light to show its hue. Check a lit panel beside the actual metal or wood, then inspect the shaded section. A very dark surface may function mainly as an outline even when its published color description has a distinct temperature.
Separate a persistent cast from a comparison effect
Make the near-black effect part of the plan, then check whether the green is visible in the room's normal light.
Judge the temperature description against the full white stone and aged brass arrangement. A warm or cool label is a useful starting category; it cannot guarantee that Jasper agrees with every material assigned the same label. The wood-floor pairing guide covers that related choice.
